3 Branches • Three directions of ministry

NEST Net Mission

The NEST Net mission of The NEST Alliance focuses on providing a “net” of human and financial resources for biological, foster and adoptive children. NEST Net includes all physical structures used to house items to cover physical needs, materials and supplies to support the children. It also includes the network of support established between other community agencies for children, as well as all businesses, churches and individuals who give of their resources, time, and talents to work with The NEST Alliance to supply these needs.

All necessary nonprofit business legal procedures, such as financial records, bookkeeping, necessary files for auditing purposes, etc. are under the NEST Net part of our mission to ensure transparent accountability for all donated resources.

Roots and Wings Children's Home

The Roots and Wings mission of The NEST Alliance focuses on a long-range vision to provide a home in Ashe County for children who are removed from their biological homes. At this time, children who need to be placed in a Children’s Home must be sent out of Ashe County. Our acronym, NEST (Nurturing, Establishing, Securing and Trusting), describes the Roots and Wings Children’s Home we seek to establish. Our vision has the goal to own land on which to establish homes on-site. Children would receive Christian values, therapeutic intervention, life skills training, and transition assistance in a loving family environment.

Roots and Wings Children’s Home is a vision of the NEST Alliance that will provide a loving family that wants to give children the hope found in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
